"It was my first year at NU and I decided to go to LASO orientation. To see students my age speaking English AND Spanish and greeting each other with the traditional kiss on the cheek, was an exciting and emotional day for me. Finally, I had met people who were just like me, eager to share experiences. Seven years later, I have kept great friendships and have experienced life changing events, from weddings and divorces to births and deaths.
